Founded in 1874 by Abraham Altham, Althams Travel actually began life as a groceries and hardware company. By 1876 it was running railway excursions from Lancashire and Yorkshire towns to seaside resorts on the west coast of the UK. Today it prides itself on being an independent travel agency still with a family-run approach, and with their customers at the heart of everything they do.
