Mallorca is blessed with some truly breath-taking natural beauty and you can easily appreciate it while making your way around the course. Each part of the island has something unique to offer. The striking Tramuntana Mountains dominate the north, framing the landscape for miles around, while to the east and west the golf courses overlook the spectacular bays and coves. Make the most of your stay and hire a car to explore the sights up close, at your own pace.
You can play golf on Mallorca 360 out 365 days in the year, making it a year-round golfing destination. It also enjoys on average 300 days of sunshine a year! That said, the best times to visit are in the spring and autumn, when the weather is just right and rain is less likely. Temperatures in these seasons range from 14 °C to 22 °C, which is ideal for a day on the green. It is also possible to golf in the summer, but temperatures can reach 30 °C and above.

Mallorca is lucky enough to have 19 golf courses in different parts of the island, giving you plenty of options to choose from. You can go for challenging greens in the shadow of the Tramuntanas, striking views of the bay around Alcudia or beautiful settings close to island’s sophisticated capital, Palma. Our favourite Golf Park Mallorca Puntiró, is just 10 km from Palma and is the only Jack Nicklaus designed course on the island. Its 18 holes, par 71, across 165 acres of pines, wild olive and carob trees present a challenge to players of all levels. The two large man-made lakes will test your skills with tee-shots necessary over the water and there are plenty of opportunities to practice with a 220m driving range. A great choice!
Golfing on Mallorca means that there is always something to do! Whether you want to relax at the beach or pool or engage in something more active, such as hiking or sailing, alongside your golfing, there are plenty of options. This is ideal for those travelling with a partner or family who do not wish to golf. Hiring a car is the best way to make the most of your time on the island, giving you the chance to explore places off the beaten track. Mallorca is a holiday paradise with something for everyone and will definitely not disappoint!

Getting to Mallorca and its many golf courses is simple. Most major airports across Europe offer reasonable flights to Palma de Mallorca and the airport is well connected to the rest of the island. There are regular private bus transfer services to the main resorts, as well as transfers offered by hotels directly from the airport. You can hire a car directly from the airport and it is recommended that you arrange this before you arrive to avoid long queues. You can reach Alcudia from the airport in about 50 minutes via the Ma-13 and Arta via the Ma-15 in an hour.
