#1 Kayaking

Kayaking is a great way to explore Menorca’s varied coastline. Paddle along and see all the way to the ocean floor! The shallow waters near the coast are teeming with wildlife and you can watch many different varieties of fish dart around the reefs. You can take a tour with lessons if you are a beginner or hire a kayak and explore the coast at your own pace. Discover hidden coves and relax on beaches only accessible from the sea!

#2 Snorkelling

Get closer to nature and explore Menorca’s abundant sea life up close with a snorkelling excursion in a UNESCO Biosphere. The island’s designation recognises the excellent conservation of the island’s habitats and protected marine reserves. Embark on a day trip on a catamaran from Mahon, Ciutadella or Fornells and see some of the best sites on the coast with a relaxing cruise! Sunbathe while you pass Menorca’s imposing cliffs, snorkel in the pristine waters and relax on the white sand beaches. Some of the best spots are the beaches of Son Saura, Cala d’es Talaier and Cala Parejals with their beautiful azure waters and picturesque settings. #4 Jeep Safari

For a unique perspective of the island, jump in an open top Jeep with a knowledgeable local guide and discover the landscape of Menorca’s interior. The routes can vary but some of the best experiences are the sunset tours, beginning in the late afternoon. You will get a tour along the island’s quite country roads, get to explore its ancient ruins, sample the local produce and even enjoy live music with some companies! End the tour at a lookout over the coast as the sun sets romantically over the sea and watch as the colours in the sky transform to glorious reds and oranges.

#5 Cycling or Hiking

Menorca is criss-crossed by a network of ancient country lanes that are perfect for exploring its beautiful landscape whether on foot or by mountain bike. There are numerous trails you can follow, but one of the longest and best known is the Cami de Cavalls. This track goes along the whole coastline of the island as a former defensive route and is now ideal for exploring the island’s pristine coastline. The whole route is over 200 km long, but has been split into 20 more manageable stages, each taking about a day to complete. One of the most picturesque is Stage 5 from Cala Tirant to Binimel Lá while unspoilt vistas over the Mediterranean.
